My position as the Elon University News Bureau Assistant has granted me the opportunity to see various parts of the campus community since my freshman year. From interviewing professors from different departments, attending campus events for different clubs, fairs, key-note speakers and events, I have greatly expanded my understanding of the Elon community and abilities as an interviewer/journalist. Below, I have selected my favorite stories from my time writing for Today at Elon magazine. One discusses an event I covered regarding an Iraq War presentation. Another is an interview with a School of Health Sciences professor, discussing the intersection between medicine and the humanities. Finally, the remaining articles are a collection of stories I covered for Elon's annual Holocaust remembrance week, highlighting different survivors and their stories.
